When we told people that we were going to start a ‘movement’ based on a midnight ‘brain dump,’ I had in early 2025, they said we should be prepared for a bit of a ride. But I don’t think any of the B2P organising team —Jason, Gemma, or myself—quite expected a ride that would take us all the way to £28,000 (including gift aid).

Back in February, raising £10,000 felt like a mountain. By the time we hit the Big Beach Ball in Brighton on September 14th, we hadn’t just climbed the mountain; we’d practically built a resort on top of it. Looking back when things had calmed down in October, I’m still trying to process the sheer scale of what we achieved together.

To the Believers
With 360 individual donations pouring in over the summer, we saw over £20,000 raised by friends, family, and colleagues. That’s 360 people saying ‘Balls to Parkinson’s’ alongside us.
To the Corporate Cavalry
Our 20+ corporate sponsors and local businesses didn’t just write checks; they donated magnums of fizz, auction prizes, and over £5,000 in direct support. To the employers and partners who backed our team: we salute you.
The B2P Engine Room
To the team, the families, and the riders who braved the London to Brighton: consider this a massive, Lycra-clad ‘Balls to Parkinson’s’ hug. Your energy turned a fundraising goal into a summer of laughter.

The Soundtrack
And what is a mission without a soundtrack? From ‘One-man Dylan’ tributes to the full-throttle energy of Glam Rampage and Hutch and the rising stars of the Brighton scene—you provided the pulse of this campaign.

The Cliffhanger (Looking to 2026)
So, what’s next for a team that doesn’t know when to quit? We’ve caught the bug. The momentum is real, and the ‘deep creative thought’ has already begun.
Will it be London to Paris? Or perhaps the inaugural ‘B2P Fest’? Whatever we choose, we know one thing for certain: we won’t be doing it alone.
Thank you for making 2025 a year I’ll never forget. See you at the starting line in 2026.
