Having had a bit of a summer break we are now back in full fundraising flow. As of today we have raised nearly £8,500, so we are well on our way to reaching and hopefully smashing our fundraising target of £10,000 in aid of Parkinson’s U.K. and the OddBalls Foundation.

This week’s yellow jersey is a bit late (apologies) but a big one! This week we award it to all of the Balls to Parkinson’s team and supporters that made the Headington Village Hall Bash such a great success.

Chris and Floss

We had musical performances from Faris and the Denodo Oddballs, Chris and Floss, The Flaming Keys and I even attempted a live performance of “The Parkinson Blues”.

Mark’s Debut Performance

We were pleased to welcome friends and family of the team, local members of the Parkinson’s and Headington communities, as well as work colleagues from Denodo. All of whom made it a very friendly and social occasion.

Through ticket sales, a raffle and the copious drinks, cakes and hotdogs purchased by the attendees, we managed to raise £1011 towards our £10,000 target. This way exceeded our expectations, for the event.

We’d like to thank especially Cllr Roz Smith and the Trustees of the Village Hall, for their support and use of the venue. Cllr Mark Lygo, Chair of the Oxfordshire County Council for attending and raising awareness of our fundraising initiative.

Cathy, Mark and Jason with Cllr Mark Lygo

Also, a big thank you to all those Balls to Parkinson’s Team Members, family and supporters who made the event possible: Cathy Oliveira, Emma and Isla Dodds, Jason and Jan Pritchard, Gary Baverstock, Chris Fitzpatrick and Floss Willow, Charles Southwood, Lloyd and Faris Rushden-Jones, Bas Dudink and all at Denodo.

Celebrating fundraising effort and support.
